My Apricot tree has been in full bloom for several days. I was really hoping this would be the year I would finally get apricots from this tree.
As you can see the sky is kind of dark. The sun comes through every once in a while but it has been cold all day.
These pretty little blooms are not long for this world. The temperature last night and tonight will be in the low 20's. I don't think I will be getting any apricots this year, again.
I guess I should enjoy them while I can. They are such pretty little blooms.

Our two peach trees have been covered with pretty pink flowers this week. It's now 37 and lows are below feezing for the rest of the week. I'm guessing no peaches for us.
So no apricot or peach jelly this spring? Is this what I am hearing?
Hey, I will buy peaches somewhere if it comes to that.
Bummer! I was thinking of all the flowers earlier when I saw all the hard freezes coming up, didn't think of all the fruit trees. Rats!
Sorry to hear that your tree blossomed already. My preacher's (Also my neighbor)tree already blossoming as well...They also have several cherry trees that started blooming. I don't know about Cherry tree hardiness, but I know the weather can confuse apricot trees so easily.
By the way, I like your blog. Where did you get the "Feed the fish" widget?
Take care!
The Douglas County Pie Lady said that anytime she wants to win a pie contest she goes to the store and buys a bag of dried apricots. She cooks them for about 20 minuts to reconstitute them and bakes them in a pie. There are just some things you can't do, but the alternatives aren't always bad. MUD
