I think the squirrel eats more of the bird food that the birds do. You just can't keep him out. My husband has named him Rocky. Now you know why Monkey Girl thinks its a squirrel feeder.
Just had to take another picture of the sparrows. You always know when it is really cold. They all flock to this bush. Shoot, I took a close look and only found two birds.

Until I get a *real* camera, my shots are limited as well. I'm forever trying to capture the beauty of hummingbirds... to no avail.
Frankly, Mr. Snoots shoots the damn squirrels.... they should never have ripped up my tablecloth & chair pillows for their nests.
LOL, Shooting them sounds like a good idea. I call them tree rats. My husband names them.
We can't fire any find of weapon in city limits. That encludes pellet guns, air guns or paint ball guns. Ha, that would be fun, shoot them with paint balls. Then we could name them whitey or ol' yeller or spot.
Hi! I live in Greensburg... and believe it or not, we have squirrels that survived the tornado... I live in FEMAville still, and no trees=no squirrels, but if we can find a place to live in town again I'm sure the age old problem of squirrels in the bird feeders will start up again!
